How to connect the slip ring induction motor?
slip ring induction motor is also called wound rotor induction motor. The rotor and stator of the slip ring induction motor are provided with three-phase windings and connected to the external varistor through a slip ring and a brush. Adjusting the varistor resistance improves the starting performance of the motor and regulates the speed of the motor. The rotor winding is connected to the resistor through a slip ring, and the external series resistance is equivalent to an increase in the internal resistance of the rotor winding, which reduces the induced current of the rotor winding.
According to the characteristics of the slip ring induction motor, the rotor series resistance reduces the rotational speed of the wound rotor induction motor, increases the rotational torque, and has better starting performance. If the resistance of the resistor is zero, it is equivalent to a three phase squirrel cage induction motor.
